It’s Not About Cheap..It’s About Being Better
The 2005 Level3 research showed me that consumers and business owners are not concerned about lower shout pricing. So even with the price of calls dropping to nearly zero and multiple options around to build “free calls” there’s more to VoIP than just that.
And as the team at ifByPhone (and agency client) said in their most recent post, there’s a lot more out there which can be done.
From the early days of that blog I’ve been extolling the capability of applications. Companies like Ribbit, Broadsoft, Voxeo, ifByPhone are all making that happen. They’re not living in the cheap minutes space. So are clients VAPPs, iotum, Truphone, JunctionNetworks,
Look at RF.com, from pal Marcelo Rodriguez, of Voxilla fame. He took the iPhone, developed a simple app and made it SIP PBX capable months ago.
Like the ifByPhone post says “it’s moment to stop silo-ing voice in something called the “phone system…” and moment for others who need to connect to you to start using these new ideas to better how they do business.
