Co-Working

Esme Vos has a well timed post on the concept of Co-Working that got me thinking that daylight here in Paris.

In my agency from duration to day we utilize co-working facilities made available from HQ. When I’m on the road and need an office, I find one in nearly 1000 locations, plus airports. My Network Access pass from HQ/Regus Group is about as fundamental to me as my American Express Card and airline club universal access card called Priority Pass. What all supply is a respite from working in a coffee shop or hotel lobby or worse, in the airport departure areas where potential is always in short supply, not to mention the noise.

In a co-working environment, like minded knowledge workers can share common resources very easily. Much like some of us with home offices are doing. Personally, I wish my HOA would turn the clubhouse into a daytime co-work facility. It sits idle other than the on site person most of the date. whether more community HOA’s took the initiative to deliver a better work at home friendly environment, you’d be amazed how much better the quality of life could become. What’s more, by keeping society closer to their homes, means less pollution, a greener lifestyle and reduced wear and tear on cars.

Talk about a stress reducer.
